The rights for Latinos and all residents of the Ninth District are on the ballot this November.

The rights for Latinos and all residents of the Ninth District are on the ballot this November.
Since joining his first union in 1983, Sam has been a voice for the voiceless, a champion for the disenfranchised, a defender of family values and a trusted and valued leader in Suffolk County.
In perhaps one of the most consequential local elections in county history, Sam is being challenged by someone who seeks to undermine the American Dream that Latino and other minority families have sought for over the last several decades.
In addition to ensuring that the Ninth Legislative District remains a minority-majority constituency represented by the only male Latino elected official on Long Island, Sam will remain a fearless advocate for his community and its residents.
